My Background

My name is Chaimaa , and I began my academic journey in Casablanca, Morocco, attending Jaafar El Fassi El Fihri High School. After earning my French scientific baccalaureate, I decided to pursue further education abroad, driven by a desire for broader career opportunities and a different educational experience.

Why France

From a young age, I dreamed of studying abroad, primarily due to the perceived limitations of Morocco's educational system. My goal was to attain a foreign master’s degree to enhance my professional prospects.

At 17, the decision to move to France was a natural choice. My family played a significant role, allowing frequent visits while pursuing my studies. Moreover, my fluency in French, nurtured by my mother who was a French teacher in Casablanca, facilitated a seamless transition.

The transition from Moroccan to French education systems posed initial challenges. However, adapting and thriving in a new academic and cultural milieu proved immensely rewarding.

The Application Process

Preparing for my move to France involved rigorous planning over eight months. The application process itself was straightforward, involving form submissions, a language proficiency test (TCF/DALF), and interviews tailored to my chosen field of study.

My GPA was a 15.60 out of 20 and I was able to achieve a C2 level in my TCF test after months of preparation.

However, I would highly recommend the DALF to anyone applying.

Academic Journey

Following my high school education in Morocco, I enrolled at the University Institute of Technology in Le Havre for a two-year degree. Subsequently, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing in Paris, followed by a Master’s in Web Marketing at a business school. My academic path culminated in a specialized Master’s in Management, alongside four years of professional experience in digital marketing.

University Experience

The French education system offered me a diverse and enriching academic environment. While the workload was manageable initially, it intensified throughout the years. However, remote work arrangements later helped me achieve a better work-life balance.

Cultural Integration and Social Life

Navigating the social landscape was eased by my outgoing nature, enabling me to build lasting friendships with peers from diverse backgrounds. While my circle is predominantly formed of fellow Moroccans, I maintain interactions with students of various nationalities both at university and at work.

Internship and Support Services

The university’s robust internship support system facilitated valuable practical experience through collaborations with numerous companies. Services included CV preparation, practice interviews, and networking opportunities, enhancing students’ professional skills, preparing us to have a good professional foundation.

Advice for Future Applicants

I advocate thorough preparation and research as paramount to a successful study abroad experience. Anticipating challenges and aligning personal and professional goals can ensure a fulfilling educational journey.
