The AFS Global STEM Accelerators program is a 12-week virtual exchange for young women aged 15-17.5 interested in STEM, sustainability, and social impact. Co-developed with the University of Pennsylvania, the program focuses on global competence skills and sustainability-focused workshops, culminating in social impact projects addressing real-world challenges like climate change and energy transition. Participants earn an Advanced Certificate on Global Competence for Social Impact from AFS and the University of Pennsylvania Center for Social Impact Strategy. The program aims to empower young women in STEM and bridge the gender gap in STEM fields.
