About the Program

The Balkan Olympiad in Informatics (BOI) is an annual regional competitive programming competition for high school students from the Balkan Peninsula. Participating countries include Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey; Ukraine joins as an occasional guest nation.

Entry is through national selection — students must qualify via their country's national informatics olympiad. The competition is held in a different Balkan country each year. The 2026 edition takes place September 14–20 in Tirana, Albania. Tasks are available on the Eolymp platform at eolymp.com.

Qualify through your country's national olympiad in informatics. Contact your national organizing committee for registration details. The 2026 competition takes place September 14–20 in Tirana, Albania.
