Overview of GENIUS Art

GENIUS Art raises public awareness to take action on global environmental problems and solutions. Each GENIUS Art project can be prepared and presented by only one student. It includes categories such as Photography, Poster Design, and Mixed Media, all focused on environmental issues.

RIT University scholarships are available for award winners (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Honorable Mention, Participant, Finalist) for study at RIT, ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 renewable scholarships.

Eligibility Requirements

📋 General Requirements

Projects should raise public awareness and motivate action on global environmental problems and solutions. All imagery and art must be the student's own work. The project should effectively use the chosen media with combined skill involved in production of the work to convey its message and be relevant to local, national, or global environmental issues.

Application Process

Art projects can be prepared and submitted by only one student. The size of the artwork should be 18x24 inches. You are required to submit your artwork as part of the application process by uploading a document within the application system, and a one-page optional artist statement. Poster art, photography, and mixed media must submit their artwork in JPEG format with a file size under 5 MB. All imagery and art must be your own work. Your project file name must be in English characters and should be less than 25 characters. By submitting an application, you give rights to GENIUS Olympiad to freely use your creative work.
