The Boston Global Investment Competition (BGIC) is an annual international investment competition for middle and high school students, run by Global Youth Investments and sponsored by Rosenblatt Securities. Students research, develop, and present a stock investment idea to a panel of professional investors and Wall Street professionals.
How it works:
- Registration and report submission — Teams register and submit a written investment research report by the deadline (2026: August 7)
- Final live presentation — Selected teams present their stock pitch live to a panel of judges (2026: August 16)
Judges include hedge fund managers, equity research analysts, and senior Wall Street professionals who provide direct feedback to participants. BGIC emphasizes practical finance skills: stock screening, fundamental research, valuation, and presentation.
The competition draws participants from around the world and is designed to give students early exposure to real-world investment analysis. The Hans Mosesmann Best Research Award is presented to the team with the most outstanding investment research.
