Overview of International Physics Olympiad
The International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) is the most prestigious international physics competition for secondary school students. The main aim of IPhO is to test the highest level of knowledge, critical thinking, problem solving, right practices of presentation and analysis, and hands-on skills in theoretical and experimental physics. The IPhO is organized annually in different countries as 9-10-days competition wherein national teams comprising maximum of five of their best physics students and two team leaders participate.

πΈ Costs & Aid
- The host country covers costs for each delegation from arrival to departure, including organization, food, lodging, transport, and prizes. Medical costs and sundry expenses are not covered. Observers and guests may be asked to pay the full cost, and delegations may be asked for a contribution to obligatory costs. Fee waivers are possible for delegations with economic difficulties.

Eligibility Requirements
π General Requirements
Contestants must be students of general or technical secondary schools (not technical colleges) and must not have commenced university studies.
π₯ Age Requirements
Contestants should not exceed twenty years on June 30th of the year of the competition.

Citizen and Permanent resident Worldwide
Application Process
The application process involves national selection within each participating country, followed by the country replying to the invitation from the host country and providing contestant data.
