About the Program

MIT Model United Nations Conference (MITMUNC) is an annual in-person conference hosted on the MIT campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, organized by MIT students. High school students from around the world take on the roles of country delegates, debating global issues and drafting resolutions across multiple committee sessions over three days. The conference centers on themes of innovation, inclusion, and international cooperation, encouraging delegates to amplify underrepresented voices and develop collaborative solutions to real-world challenges.

The delegate fee is $75 per person, which includes conference materials (folder, notepad, pen, and drawstring bag). Need-based fee reductions are available through the registration form. Individual students may register without a school advisor, though schools are capped at 40 delegates. Position papers are due approximately one week before the conference. Registration typically opens in early October and closes in late November, with a waitlist available through January.

MITMUNC XVIII took place February 6-8, 2026. The conference runs annually; check mitmunc.org for upcoming dates.
