The NYU Abu Dhabi University Prep Program (UPP) is a free two-day intensive workshop held on NYU Abu Dhabi's campus on Saadiyat Island, designed to guide rising seniors through every stage of the US university application process using the Common Application.
Who it's for: Students applying for fall university entry who attend schools using the Common App. Rising seniors, gap-year students graduating in the prior year, and UAE nationals committed to military service are all eligible. Students from around the world may apply.
Program format: Workshop-style sessions over two days (10am–4pm each day), covering application strategy, essay writing, activity lists, and skill-building to strengthen university applications.
Cost: Free for selected participants — NYUAD covers materials and meals. Travel to Abu Dhabi (flights, accommodation, local transport) is the student's responsibility.
Application materials:
- High school transcript
- Report cards from the current academic year
- Optional: one letter of recommendation
- Optional: English language proficiency test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.)
