Overview of PAIR: Program on AI and Reasoning

The Program on AI and Reasoning (PAIR) is an immersive workshop for mathematically talented students who want to explore how minds work—both human and artificial. It combines rigorous thinking with practical skills to help students understand the fundamental principles behind intelligence, cognition, and the future of AI. It is a 10-day camp.

Travel scholarships are available, we are usually able to cover students’ travel expenses in full.

Eligibility Requirements

📋 General Requirements

Mathematically talented students with an interest in AI and reasoning. Basic programming skills are required (ability to code binary search or a stack/queue from scratch).

👥 Age Requirements

Between 16-20 years old. Students who are 16 or 21 are eligible but the bar might be higher. Cannot accept anyone younger than 16.

Application Process

Stage 1: Application form with a task and open-ended questions. Stage 2: Tasks (for invited applicants). Stage 3: Online interview (for successful applicants). Applications are processed on a rolling basis.
