The Beyond Borders Business Case Competition (BBBCC) is a free online competition organized by Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) for high school students from Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. Teams of exactly four students analyze a real-world business challenge centered on sustainable innovation and regional impact, then propose and present solutions in English.
Competition structure:
- Preliminary Screening: Teams submit a short problem statement identifying a local or regional challenge
- Round 1 (96-hour case challenge): Teams receive a business case and submit a report, presentation deck, and video within 96 hours
- Grand Finale: Top 6 teams present live via Zoom to a panel of judges
Prizes:
- Champions: 10,000 JPY voucher
- Grand Finale finalists (top 6 teams): APU merchandise + certificates
- All Preliminary Round participants: e-certificates
Team members may come from different schools or countries within the eligible region. Registration is free and open from late June through late July.
