Overview of Summer Science Program
Summer Science Program is one of the oldest residential STEM education programs in the nation offering high school juniors hands-on research experience in astrophysics, biochemistry, bacterial genomics, and synthetic chemistry. As a participant, you get to spend five weeks on the campus of a renowned research university, immersing yourself in collaborative science research, using professional research equipment, conducting experiments, learning from world-class scientists, making friends for life, and sharing your real-world findings.

💸 Costs & Aid
- 9,800 USD
- The fee is all-inclusive, covering room and board, tuition, supplies, and local transportation. The actual cost per participant is ~$14,600, subsidized by donations.
- Financial aid is available and need-blind. It can cover 100% of demonstrated need, including round-trip airfare and other travel expenses. Aid is available to international students. The program also offers stipends of $3,000 for select participants that would otherwise need to work over the summer.

Participants use professional research equipment and conduct experiments. Encourages applicants from racial and ethnic backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in STEM and first-generation college students.
