The Stanford Math Circle for Grades 9–12 is a weekly enrichment seminar hosted by Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies, designed to take high school students beyond the standard curriculum into the broader landscape of mathematics — its open questions, surprising connections, and living practitioners.
How it works:
Each session runs two hours and is led by a different guest mathematician drawn from the Stanford community. Topics shift week to week, exposing students to a range of mathematical areas including number theory, combinatorics, geometry, analysis, and topics at the frontier of current research. The emphasis is on exploration and mathematical thinking rather than competition preparation or test practice.
