Technovation Girls is the Girls Track of the global Technovation Challenge: participants ages 8–18 build a technology solution to a community problem and a plan for its use or business development. They learn to code and can submit their projects to a global competition. The program empowers girls in technology and entrepreneurship, encouraging them to solve real-world problems. For 2027, teams compete in three divisions based on their oldest member’s age on August 1, 2027: Beginner (8–12), Junior (13–15) and Senior (16–18). Finalist teams are invited to pitch at the annual Technovation World Summit.
2027 cycle checked November 4, 2026: The competition page and submission guidelines confirm March 11 registration at 23:59 UTC and May 5 projects at 5 p.m. PDT. The registration opening is inconsistent: October 12 in the narrative, October 11 in the key-date tables. The season start is explicitly October 12. Submission is followed by judging, so May 5 is not a confirmed programme end. World Summit dates are still TBD.
The current participation overview separates the Girls Track from a new Mixed/Co-ed Track. This offering covers Girls Track teams, including nonbinary, gender-fluid and transgender participants who want a female-identified environment; awards are separate by track. Both are free. Some older student pages retain 2026 submission dates and registration-closed notices, so those do not establish current 2027 availability.
