Overview of Sony World Photography Awards: Youth Competition

The Sony World Photography Awards: Youth Competition is open to photographers aged 19 and under. Participants can submit up to three images taken in 2025, based on a specific theme. A shortlist of up to 10 photographers will be selected to compete for the Youth Photographer of the Year title. The overall winner receives a Sony digital imaging kit. The competition is free to enter.

Eligibility Requirements

📋 General Requirements

Images must be taken in 2025 and should be based on the outlined theme. Images should be no smaller than 1MB and no larger than 5MB, in JPEG format, and saved in the sRGB colour model. Manipulation is allowed, but the extent must be described in the image description. Entrants must be the sole owner and author of each entry.

👥 Age Requirements

19 and under on the closing date of the competition.

Application Process

To enter, you must upload your image via the World Photography Organisation Website or any of the official Sony World Photography Award websites and follow the on-screen instructions carefully. Each entrant can submit up to three images for free. If under 16, parental or legal guardian consent is required.
