About the Program

The Youth International Math Olympiad (YIMO) is a free global online mathematics competition open to all students. It features 20 problems — a mix of multiple choice and AIME-style integer answer questions — administered in a single contest window chosen by the student. Two divisions are available: Rising Stars (AMC 10 to early AIME level, for students building competition experience) and High Achievers (early AIME through high AIME level).

The top 8 students in each division advance to a final round featuring computational and proof-style problems. Awards are given at Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels.

The 2026 contest runs August 29–30, with two windows: Window A on Saturday, August 29 at 9:30pm EST and Window B on Sunday, August 30 at 11:00am EST. Registration and parental consent form upload deadline is August 27, 2026 (23:59 EST).

Two divisions available — Rising Stars is designed for students building competition experience (AMC 10 to early AIME level), and High Achievers is for more advanced competitors (early AIME through high AIME level).
