Description

NYU Abu Dhabi offers a core curriculum, 25 majors (with a new major in Business, Organizations and Society awaiting governmental approval), numerous multidisciplinary and disciplinary minors and specializations, pre-professional courses, and electives in a variety of fields. As the student body and faculty grow, new courses are developed to reflect student interests and expanding faculty expertise. The offerings at NYU Abu Dhabi are also enriched by the wide array of programs across NYU’s global network. During four years of undergraduate study, students have an extensive choice of courses in all disciplines and are able to fulfill all requirements.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

International students, regardless of citizenship, are eligible for a need-based financial aid which includes:

  1. Merit-based support for admitted UAE Nationals, and children of Emirati women

  2. Need-based scholarships and grants, depending on the student's financial need as determined by the CSS Profile.

Financial aid is generally renewable at the same level for all four years as long as you:

  1. Enroll full-time (which is a minimum of 12 credits or more) in the fall and spring semesters

  2. Continue to stay in good academic standing

Students are encouraged to contact the Office of Financial Support at nyuad.financial.support@nyu.edu if they have any questions.

Please note: In light of COVID-19, NYU will remain test-optional for students applying for the 2022-2023 application cycle. All applying students are NOT required to submit standardized testing.

Essay

This is one of the most important parts of your NYU application. Every student applying to any NYU campus must submit a short response to the same question on the Common Application: Why NYU?

Sending Documents

To be considered official, all documents (including academic transcripts) require an original signature of the registrar or other designated school official, or the institution's seal. If a document isn't in English, then a translation should be provided (a school official or a translation agency accredited in your country can issue the translation). All official testing should come from the relevant examination board or testing agency.

Application Fee and Fee Waiver

Application Fee: Nonrefundable USD 80 application fee.

Students who feel that the application fee would pose a financial hardship may request a fee waiver. All applicants will be asked "Do you feel that your financial circumstances might qualify you for an application fee waiver?" on the Common Application. If you would like to request a fee waiver, please answer "yes" when prompted by the Common Application. Please select the fee waiver that makes the most sense for you in that section. The waiver will be automatically approved and we may request documentation at a later date, if necessary. Requesting a fee waiver will not disadvantage an applicant in any way.

We cannot consider your fee waiver request after you apply for admission if you did not respond with "yes" on the Common Application.
