About me

Describe your international experience: I was an exchange student in the USA, as a part of FLEX program. After that I took a gap year to prepare for my university application. I did my Bachelor's Degree in New York University Abu Dhabi (NUYAD) in chemistry. Then I travelled to Germany to get my Master's Degree in the Max Planck School Matter to Life, and currently I am staying in the same group in Heidelberg for my PhD. Why did you join Borderless?: Obviously because Veronica is awesome <3 and I really like the idea of the world without borders. Also I believe that our smart-ass and talented students in the community deserve a chance to study in the university/school of their dreams or to work in their dream company/country, and I hope my experience can help them to achieve this. Of course I also hope to get inspired by all these ideas and cool exchange that is happening in the community. What do you like to do in your free time?: I like to read a lot, especially classic literature but also some nice detective/sci-fi/fantasy novels. Genre doesnt matter too much tbh, as long as the book is good. I love to paint, and in general do some DIY/hand-made stuff. Ocassional baking and binge-watching of sitcoms are also on my enjoyment list. Traditional hiking is somewhat boring for me, but I love going sightseeing and visiting beautiful architectural places/hidden nature gems etc. Also a big fan of adventure parks! What are you looking forward to next?: - Spending the next 2-3 years building a modular trigger-responsive vesicle to help battle cancer as a part of my PhD - More travelling, as I have so many things to visit on my list - Potentially meeting up with at least some of the Borderless members in person <3 - Long-wanted vacation to Georgia <3
