About the Program

Academic Marathon is a global academic team competition for high school students (grades 9–12), active in 29+ countries. It operates across 14 distinct disciplines: Envirothon, Mathethon, Inforthon, Biothon, Physithon, Chemithon, Psychothon, Geothon, Historithon, Econthon, Artithon, Literathon, Lingothon, and Philosothon. Each marathon is a standalone event tied to its subject area.

The format is a 10-hour relay: a team of 5 students rotates through 5 parallel test stations, with real-time scoring and immediate results. Schools may enter up to 3 teams per event. Participants gain access to a practice platform to prepare before their marathon.

Upcoming marathons include Biothon (July 18–19, 2026), Inforthon (September 19–20, 2026), and Mathethon (January 9–10, 2027). Registration fees are not listed publicly; contact registration@academic-marathon.org for pricing and early bird discounts.
