Purple Comet! Math Meet is a free annual international online team mathematics competition that has run since 2003. Teams of 1-6 middle or high school students compete by solving a set of problems — 20 problems in 60 minutes for the middle school division, and 30 problems in 90 minutes for the high school division — during a flexible 10-day window each spring. An adult supervisor registers the team and starts each team's contest clock at a time of their choosing within the window. The 2026 contest drew over 4,800 registered teams from 86 countries. Problems range from accessible to extremely challenging, and full solutions are published after each competition.
