About the Program

Economics for Leaders (EFL) is a selective summer program offered by the Foundation For Teaching Economics that integrates economics education with leadership development for high school students. The program features two formats: a residential option held at US university campuses ($2,800, includes tuition, room, and board) and a virtual option open to students worldwide ($900). Participants engage with economic concepts through simulations and discussions, while also developing skills in communication, collaboration, and decision-making. The program targets high school sophomores and juniors who show leadership potential, maturity, and a genuine interest in economics and public policy.
