Fyziklani is an annual physics team competition held in Prague and organized by FYKOS (the physics correspondence seminar of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University). Teams of up to five high school students solve physics problems during a three-hour contest — seven problems are always available, and once a team solves one correctly, they receive a new problem in its place. The format rewards both speed and breadth across physics topics.
The competition attracts over 1,000 participants from more than 20 countries. Since 2018, teams can compete in English, making it fully accessible to international participants. An optional accompanying program may include lectures, excursions and social events; the current schedule does not establish a February 10–14, 2027 attendance span. It is possible to attend only the competition.
Fyziklani 2027 is confirmed for February 12 at PVA EXPO Praha. Checked November 4, 2026 against the official homepage and schedule: the opening notice says November 13 without a year. The prior catalog assigned 2026, but an explicit year-qualified opening and final registration deadline have not been independently verified.
The full rules confirm teams of 1–5 primary/secondary-school students from at most two schools, with preregistration required. The organizational regulations describe Czech and English participation and say participation gives no entitlement to reimbursement of expenses. An explicit current zero-entry-fee statement was not found in the checked sources; fees and optional attendance costs remain unverified.
