About the Program

Girls Who Code Pathways is a free virtual coding program with self-paced coursework, optional advisor and partner events, live Student Hours and a private Discord community. The current Spring application lists five tracks: Data Science + AI, Game Design, Web Development, Cybersecurity and AI + Society.

The official application, checked November 4, 2026, lists an extended early deadline of October 30, 2026, replacing the formerly listed October 28 cutoff, and a general deadline of December 16, 2026. It requires no essays or projects. The official schedule FAQ confirms Spring March 1–April 16, 2027.

Spring eligibility distinguishes US grades 9–12 during 2026–2027 from international ages 14–18 on March 1, 2027, and states the coursework deadline as April 16 at 12 p.m. EST. Applications are accepted worldwide; no exact application cutoff clock or subsequent-cycle dates were verified.

Eligibility

Spring 2027 applicants identify as girls or non-binary. US students must be in grades 9–12 during 2026–2027; international students must be ages 14–18 on March 1, 2027. All coding experience levels and returning participants are welcome. Access to a computer and Wi-Fi is required; coursework must be completed by April 16, 2027 at 12 p.m. EST, as stated by the official FAQ.

How to Apply

The prospective student completes the short two-page online Pathways application; no essays or projects are required. The extended early deadline was October 30, 2026, and general applications are due December 16, 2026. No application cutoff time/timezone is stated.
