About the Program

The Boston Global Investment Competition (BGIC) is an annual international investment competition for students, run by Global Youth Investments and sponsored by Rosenblatt Securities. Students research, develop, and present a stock investment idea to a panel of professional investors and Wall Street professionals.

How it works:

  1. Registration and report submission — Teams register and submit a written investment research report by the deadline (2026: August 28)
  2. Final live presentation — Selected teams present their stock pitch live to a panel of judges (2026: September 6)

Judges include hedge fund managers, equity research analysts, and senior Wall Street professionals who provide direct feedback to participants. BGIC emphasizes practical finance skills: stock screening, fundamental research, valuation, and presentation.

The competition draws participants from around the world and is designed to give students early exposure to real-world investment analysis. The Hans Mosesmann Best Research Award is presented to the team with the most outstanding investment research.

Deadline check (2026-11-04): The official 2026 requirements confirm the August 28 registration/report deadline, September 6 presentation, and $50 fee above. The home page retains that historical schedule. The linked registration form could not be accessed. The earlier catalog described worldwide middle/high-school eligibility, but that exact scope was not reconfirmed from accessible official rules, so it is not stored as verified country eligibility. No 2027 dates or rules were found on the checked sources.

Eligibility

The 2026 requirements called for a public-company research report and online live stock pitch. Specific age, school-grade and geographic eligibility rules could not be verified from accessible official materials; do not assume the prior catalog audience establishes eligibility for a later cycle.

How to Apply

The published 2026 process required registration, a $50 fee and a research report by August 28 at midnight US ET; the live presentation was scheduled for September 6 at noon US ET. These dates are historical. A later application window, eligibility rules and fee have not been verified.
