About the Program

The Immerse Education Essay Competition is a free annual contest open to students aged 13-18 worldwide. Entrants choose one of over 20 academic essay questions spanning subjects such as Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Engineering, Philosophy, Law, Medicine, Biology, and Fashion & Design — or create their own question — and submit a 450-550 word essay via an online form.

Ten full scholarships (100% coverage) and 50-75 partial scholarships are awarded, redeemable at any Immerse Education in-person or online programme globally, including locations in Cambridge, Oxford, London, Sydney, New York, Toronto, San Francisco, Singapore, Tokyo, and Boston. All entrants receive a participation award. Essays are assessed by subject-area experts on content, critical analysis, word choice and structure, use of evidence, and spelling and grammar.

Deadlines fall twice yearly — in September and early January — making the competition accessible across different school calendars.
