The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the World Championship Mathematics Competition for High School students. It is held annually in a different country and has expanded to over 100 countries from 5 continents. The IMO Board ensures the competition takes place each year and that each host country observes the regulations and traditions.

About the Program
Eligibility
Participants must be high school students. Selection is done through national-level competitions in participating countries. Participants must be less than 20 years old on the day of the second contest paper. High school student.
Eligible Countries
citizenship, residency permanent: Worldwide🌎 Participants must be selected to represent a country that participates in the IMO through its national selection process. Contestants must normally be citizens or long-term residents of the country that they represent.
How to Apply
Students are selected to represent their country through national mathematical olympiad competitions run in secondary schools (high schools). There is no direct application process for individual students to the IMO.
