The International Neuroscience Olympiad (INO) is a youth-run nonprofit competition bringing together high school students from 24+ countries to compete in neuroscience. The flagship Opens exam tests participants across a wide range of neuroscience topics, including research paper analysis, scientific data interpretation, and critical thinking.
The Opens exam is held online in late October, with two sessions scheduled across different time zones to accommodate global participants. Students compete in Open and Semi divisions. Registration costs $10, with financial hardship waivers available. Asia-based students register through the ASEEDER platform.
Registration for the 2026-27 cycle is currently open. Visit ino-global.net for current deadlines and exam details.
