The International Young Researchers' Conference (IYRC) is an organization offering educational programs in medicine, STEM, and research for high school students from 65+ countries. Programs are taught by Columbia University VP&S and UCLA physicians and researchers, and blend virtual and in-person components.
The Medicine & Research Summer Program is now named INFORMED. Its 2027 base program runs virtually from June 19-August 28, with optional community-health and medical-humanities additions described separately. IYRC also runs other programs and optional conferences, whose dates are not application deadlines for this offering.
Over $390,657 in scholarships had been awarded historically. Current 2027 fees are publicly listed: the base program starts at $500 for the first pricing milestone, with later tiers and optional add-ons. Limited aid is available, and the FAQ says full tuition waivers are possible.
Checked November 3, 2026: the current program page, homepage, and FAQ verify the 2027 program and disclose differing eligibility and deadline descriptions. The dated November 7, 2026 homepage milestone is not treated as a final cutoff because the detailed page advertises rolling applications and later pricing. The historical 2026 page supports the retained program dates; its indexed official homepage supports the March 31 and May 20 milestones.
