About the Program

The LSE Generate Global Innovation Challenge (LGIC) is a fully virtual pitch competition for high school students ages 13–18, run in partnership with LSE Generate — the entrepreneurship hub of the London School of Economics. Teams of 2–4 students (or individuals) identify a real problem in their community and pitch an innovative solution connected to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The competition runs in two rounds: Regional Qualifiers followed by the Live Global Finals, held in August each year. Registered participants gain access to expert-led webinars and exclusive resources. The top prize includes $1,000 cash, a virtual internship with LSE Social Enterprise Founders, and mentorship from industry experts.

Registration costs $20 per student ($15 early bird); the 2026 final registration deadline is August 4, 2026. Visit globinnovation.org to register.

Eligibility

Open to high school students ages 13–18 worldwide, including gap year students not yet enrolled in university. Teams of 2–4 students (individual entries also accepted). Registration fee is $20 per student ($15 early bird); each team member registers and pays individually.
