The programme page provides support for three journal-submission rounds and explicitly does not promise publication. The current FAQ welcomes high school students in grades 9–12 and university students worldwide without prior research experience. The application process includes an interview for shortlisted applicants, mentor matching and an opportunity to indicate financial-aid need.

Students pay a deposit when accepted and the remaining balance before the program starts; the FAQ does not state a deposit amount and says personalized payment plans may be available for families with financial need. Partial need-based aid can be requested in the application. The FAQ links possible full aid for families earning under US$80,000 annually to the separate Lumiere Research Inclusion Foundation program; it does not confirm full funding for this particular track.
