Winter Cohort II is still labeled 2026 by Lumiere, with December 27, 2026 applications and January 18, 2027 start. An October 2026 provider review refers to an older November 15 banner; the current table and banner give the dates above. No exact cutoff times, opening dates or later cohorts were verified.
The programme page provides support for three journal-submission rounds and explicitly does not promise publication. The current FAQ welcomes high school students in grades 9–12 and university students worldwide without prior research experience. The application process includes an interview for shortlisted applicants, mentor matching and an opportunity to indicate financial-aid need.
The Admissions & Payment FAQ, checked November 4, 2026, lists the Research Fellowship at US$9,900. Students pay a deposit when accepted and the remaining balance before the program starts; the FAQ does not state a deposit amount and says personalized payment plans may be available for families with financial need. Partial need-based aid can be requested in the application. The FAQ links possible full aid for families earning under US$80,000 annually to the separate Lumiere Research Inclusion Foundation program; it does not confirm full funding for this particular track.
