The International Logic Olympiad (ILO) is an annual competition that challenges middle and high school students to master formal logical reasoning. Organized by Luminas Inc. — a 501(c)(3) non-profit — in partnership with Stanford University Professor Michael Genesereth, the ILO covers propositional logic, truth tables, logical connectives, relational logic, and systematic problem-solving. These are foundational skills for mathematics, computer science, law, philosophy, and engineering. Since its launch in 2024, the ILO has attracted over 6,100 participants from 104 countries across 3,800+ schools.

Competition structure:
The homepage announces ILO 2027 as coming soon, while the division pages provide a schedule whose individual rows omit years. They list January 14 registration opening and March 21 closing, Junior preliminary April 10 or 11 depending on regional testing center, Senior preliminary April 17–18, and the Stanford final June 29–July 1. These yearless rows are retained with that qualification; they are not converted to exact ISO dates. The pre-registration page is an email reminder signup, with an April 2027 location prompt, rather than a completed competition registration.
The division-specific 2027 eligibility table above differs from the generic FAQ, which says grades 8–12. Junior and Senior conditions are not merged into a single hard age/grade rule. Regional-center and online arrangements should not be inferred from the previous catalog’s generic annual description.

Fees and financial aid:
The division pages list a $50 registration fee and allow families with annual income below $20,000 to request aid with financial documentation. The dollar currency is not explicitly named. Aid is limited to registration and does not cover other expenses. The published aid cutoff is February 17, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. PST, with decisions February 21; however, the linked Jotform currently says the form is unavailable. No submission availability or guaranteed full waiver is asserted.
