MIT Model United Nations Conference (MITMUNC) is an annual in-person conference hosted on the MIT campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, organized by MIT students. High school students from around the world take on the roles of country delegates, debating global issues and drafting resolutions across multiple committee sessions over three days. The conference centers on themes of innovation, inclusion, and international cooperation, encouraging delegates to amplify underrepresented voices and develop collaborative solutions to real-world challenges.
The delegate fee is $75 per person, which includes conference materials (folder, notepad, pen, and drawstring bag). Need-based fee reductions are available through the registration form. Individual students may register without a school advisor, though schools are capped at 40 delegates. For MITMUNC XIX, registration closes November 26, 2026; waitlist applications close January 15, 2027; and position papers are due February 5, 2027. Payment is part of registration and secures the delegation’s places under the conference instructions.
MITMUNC XVIII took place February 6–8, 2026. MITMUNC XIX is scheduled for February 5–7, 2027, subject to change. The current information page describes the opening as the end of the week of October 5, 2026; the homepage reports registration open. The old daily timetable and linked guidelines are explicitly labeled 2026 and do not establish an exact 2027 daily schedule.
