The National Space Society’s SpacEdge programme and Blue Origin’s Club for the Future invite full-time student artists ages 10–25 to portray the 2026 theme “Living, Working and Playing on the Space Frontier.” The current contest page, submission instructions and terms, checked November 4, 2026, list Traditional, non-AI Digital and AI-generated categories. Generative AI is allowed only in the designated AI category, rather than being prohibited throughout the contest.
The home page gives November 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. local time, while the requirements give the same date at 11:59 p.m. US Pacific. The exact timezone remains inconsistent. Parental-permission wording also differs: the requirements include students 18 and under, whereas the home page and terms say under 18.
There is no entry fee. Submit an original realistic illustration, a short descriptive paragraph and its creation method through the relevant age-division form. Artwork must meet the current JPEG size requirements. Awards include certificates, selected Blue Origin merchandise, postcard opportunities, Ad Astra coverage and NSS student membership. Winners are to be announced at an NSS Space Forum in January or February, with the exact date still pending, rather than at the SmallSat Education Conference. No exact application opening day or subsequent-cycle deadline was verified.
