Andover Summer Session is a five-week academic programme at Phillips Academy for rising 7th–12th graders worldwide. The Lower School Institute serves rising 7th–8th graders, and Upper School serves rising 9th–12th graders.
The official 2027 program page and tuition/dates page, checked November 4, 2026, confirm June 29–August 1, 2027 with full-session attendance required. Current tuition is Upper School boarding USD 11,500, Lower boarding USD 11,700; Upper day USD 3,250 for one course or USD 6,500 for two; Lower day USD 7,950. Boarding students pay a USD 400 activity fee. Day students pay USD 100 health/safety, plus USD 400 activities required for Lower School and optional for Upper. Families outside the US must purchase the USD 400 health insurance policy.
The admissions page requires a USD 75 application fee and complete materials. Its header says the 2027 application opens in November; its review text says rolling review begins December, while the main FAQ also contains an early-December application opening. The general May 15 final-review sentence has no explicit year; a separately dated 2027 final application cutoff was not verified. No exact opening day or cutoff clock/timezone is assumed.
For aid consideration, both summer and Clarity aid applications must be complete by February 15, 2027. Eligibility and limited availability are described above; the Clarity filing fee is USD 60 with an income-based waiver for qualifying filers. After acceptance, a 20% nonrefundable tuition deposit is due within two weeks; remaining tuition and fees are due May 1, 2027, or immediately for later enrollment. No subsequent-cycle schedule was verified.
