PUMaC is an annual high school mathematics competition run by the Princeton University Math Club. The 2026 competition is scheduled for November 21 at Princeton, after the published registration cutoffs.
For 2026, the registration page states that the Power and Team Rounds have merged. Power Round materials will be released November 12, but solutions are completed in person with the Team Round in a 70-minute block; there is no online submission or remote Power Competition option. Individual subject tests and finals remain part of the Main Competition. Older Power Round and FAQ pages retain prior-cycle procedures, and an additional registration-page note still mentions a Power Competition fallback; those statements do not establish an available 2026 remote track against the explicit 2026 change.
The current registration page gives a $15 student fee ($120 per team of eight), replacing the FAQ's $12.50 main/$5 Power-only figures in its 2022 section. Payment is requested only after acceptance, by check or card; cash/check on competition day requires prior notice. Waitlisted accepted teams and the remaining accepted individuals have competition-day payment noted in the timeline; other teams should follow their acceptance email because no single earlier payment date is stated. Financial-hardship assistance can be requested, with no published amount or guarantee.
The general application cutoff was October 11, 2026 and the restricted secondary individual cutoff was October 28, both 11:59 PM ET. The page still displays open-registration wording, but that does not establish a later cutoff. Secondary-phase instructions differ slightly: the timeline mentions rejected/waitlisted teams, while its detailed eligibility text says schools whose teams were all rejected; this remains a source limitation rather than an assumed expansion of eligibility.
