Ross Mathematics Program

ClosedMathSummer Program

About the Program

Founded in 1957, the Ross Mathematics Program is a selective intensive summer mathematics program for pre-college students, held at Otterbein University in Columbus, Ohio and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana. The program immerses students ages 15-18 in the deep exploration of number theory through a discovery-based approach. Rather than covering a broad curriculum, participants spend six weeks working intensively on a focused set of problems, developing mathematical rigor, curiosity, and independent thinking. Each year, several talented international students are accepted. Financial aid is available and the program is committed to ensuring every admitted student can attend regardless of financial circumstances.

Eligibility

Open to pre-college students ages 15-18 worldwide (exceptional 14-year-olds occasionally accepted). Reasonable English fluency required. International students accepted each year and may use a tourist (B-2) visa. No formal grade requirements, but strong mathematical ability and curiosity are essential.
