Stanford Summer Session’s High School Program lets current sophomores, juniors and seniors take Stanford undergraduate courses for credit and earn an official transcript. The 2027 program runs June 19–August 15, including check-in and move-out; instruction begins June 21. Students choose residential or commuter attendance and courses across the sciences, humanities, computing, entrepreneurship and other fields.
For 2027, students must be at least 16 on June 19, no more than 19 on August 15 and not matriculating into Stanford as a first-year student. These age restrictions have no exceptions. International students are welcome; applicants submit transcripts, one essay and English proficiency evidence when applicable.
Applications opened November 2, 2026. The official table gives January 20, 2027 at 9 p.m. PST for Regular Decision and March 1 for High School Late Application, without a time for the latter. Early Decision remains unclear: the banner says December 14, while the table gives December 15, 2026 at 9 p.m. PST. Separate university-level rolling and I-20 deadlines do not extend the high-school-specific deadline.
Current official cost estimates start at USD 8,226 for high-school commuters taking at least five units, or USD 18,771 for residential students taking at least eight units. Charges depend on the selected units and circumstances. The costs page limits its tuition grants to undergraduate and graduate students.
Checked November 4, 2026 using the official high-school page, 2027 dates and deadlines and cost estimates. The prior 2026 attendance dates were not reverified in the current pages.
