Camp Rising Sun is a four-week in-person summer program in upstate New York for high school students from around the world. It focuses on fostering leadership, self-discovery, and global understanding through shared experiences and challenges. The official 2027 application page confirms the Boys and Non-Binary session June 26–July 24 and the Girls and Non-Binary session July 29–August 26. Optional alternative arrangements allow arrival at the New York City meeting point on the first camp day; LAJF hosting is listed June 24–26 and July 27–29 separately from the camp sessions. The campus is near Rhinebeck, New York.
Applications are announced to open in November, with exact 2027 regional deadlines still TBD. The current process uses one non-family adult reference due by the same regional cutoff, interviews between January and March, decisions beginning in March and confirmation within one week. No universal dated application deadline is published. Applicants must meet the published age rule for their session; the page also gives the August 26, 2010–June 26, 2012 birth-date interval for 2027.
