ThinkNeuro is a 10-week virtual research internship program for high school, undergraduate, and post-baccalaureate students in neuroscience, computer science/software engineering, or business data analytics. No prior research experience is required.
Program structure:
- Weekly live lectures and guided research modules
- Team-based original research project (research poster or software project)
- Presentation at the ThinkNeuro Research Symposium, judged by representatives from Harvard and OpenAI
- Opportunities to present at national conferences (past students have presented at Columbia, Stanford, Brown, and others)
Tracks available:
- Neuroscience Bibliometrics
- Computer Science & Software Engineering
- Business Data Analytics — announced for Spring 2027
Time commitment: 5-10 hours per week (intensive track)
Cohorts: The historical Fall 2026 application deadline was September 4. Spring 2027 applications are announced for November, with the banner specifying late November; exact dates and the deadline remain unknown. The FAQ confirms rolling review before each cohort’s registration cutoff, rather than open-ended rolling admission. International students are welcome, though some scheduling conflicts with US time zones may arise.
Alumni outcomes include 100+ Ivy League and Top 20 university acceptances in 2026, and scholarship awards ranging from $5,500 to $250,000+.
Tuition is not consistent across the checked official sources: the general FAQ lists Regular USD 295 and Intensive USD 895, while the Neuroscience Bibliometrics page lists Fall Regular USD 495 and Intensive USD 1,295. The Computer & Software Engineering Fall section displays both pairs. The NSB FAQ says an increase begins in 2027, while track notes say Summer 2027. Spring pricing therefore remains unconfirmed. Both track pages explicitly offer 100% tuition need-based aid under their eligibility criteria; merit awards have a separate Fall Intensive Early Decision condition.
