The University of Chicago Pre-College Programs offer high school students a range of residential and online academic experiences on UChicago's Hyde Park campus. Programs are taught by UChicago faculty and reflect the university's distinctive emphasis on rigorous, inquiry-driven learning.
Residential options span four tiers: 1 Week Enrichment ($2,500), 2 Week Experience ($5,890, or $4,100 for Chicagoland-area commuters), 3 Week Immersion ($9,300, or $6,100 for commuters; undergraduate-level courses), and 4 Week Practicum ($15,200; intensive research including lab or fieldwork in Wyoming). An online track (3–5 weeks, $4,980) is also available, as well as a Summer Language Institute (6–8 weeks, $8,550). International students are welcome for all programs.
Need-based financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to admitted students from households earning $125,000 USD or below annually — apply early for best consideration. A non-refundable $1,000 deposit is required upon admission. Applications for Summer 2026 are closed; check summer.uchicago.edu for updates on future application cycles.
