Invitation to Idaho cuts what an international student pays at the University of Idaho from $29,300 a year to $13,538, a benefit of roughly $15,762, and it is granted automatically with no application and no deadline.
Understand the mechanism. The university calls it a non-disbursable scholarship: the benefit arrives as a reduced tuition rate, never as money, so it can never produce a refund and it does not apply to online-only semesters or summer courses.
Two points of friction in the university's own pages. Its international page states no grade requirement while its out-of-state page requires an incoming 3.0, so plan on the 3.0. And it cannot be combined with the university's #YouAreWelcomeHere award, which at current rates is worth slightly less, so taking that one costs you this.
