Berkeley Model United Nations (BMUN) is the world's oldest continuously active Model UN conference, founded in 1952 at UC Berkeley. Each March, over 2,000 high school students from around the world gather on the UC Berkeley campus for a three-day in-person simulation of the United Nations, debating pressing international issues across a range of committees.
BMUN is student-run by UC Berkeley undergraduates who organize committees, write background guides, and serve as chairs and secretariat. The conference emphasizes diplomatic dialogue, public speaking, and awareness of global issues. Delegates may attend through their school or as independent participants.
The 75th session is scheduled for March 5–7, 2027.
