Codeavour International is an annual AI, coding, and robotics competition for students ages 7–18 across 90+ countries, organized around the PictoBlox learning platform. Now in its 8th edition, the competition offers three tracks:
- Innovation & Entrepreneurship — Build an AI, AR-VR, IoT, or coding project using PictoBlox; available online or offline
- Clean Energy AI-Robo Challenge — Design and program a robot to address clean energy challenges; physical competition in select countries
- Robo Soccer League — Design and program physical robots to compete in real-time soccer matches; physical competition in select countries
Students use tools including PictoBlox, Quarky, Arduino, and Micro:bit. The competition emphasizes 21st-century skills: AI and machine learning, block-based and Python coding, 3D modeling, robotics, and XR development. Entry to regionals and nationals costs $45 per participant, with a $100 event fee for those who qualify for the International Showdown finale; scholarships are available for underrepresented students. Winners earn certificates, prizes, and mentorship — Track 1 participants can win prizes worth up to $25,000, and past editions have awarded as much as $45,000 in prizes globally.
