About the Program

AwardX is LaunchX's free global entrepreneurship competition for high school students. Participants submit a real business or business idea and are evaluated on problem articulation, solution innovation and feasibility, unique value proposition, market analysis, and revenue model viability. An initial round of judging selects 10 finalists, who pitch live before a panel of industry experts and investors on Demo Day.

Winners receive $2,000 in cash prizes plus scholarships to LaunchX summer programs. An additional $1,500 scholarship is awarded to the audience vote winner, determined by community engagement with a 60-second pitch video submitted to the AwardX YouTube channel. AwardX runs regional competitions throughout the year — including AwardX East Africa — with separate application windows per region.
