About the Program

The Brain Awareness Video Contest (BAVC) is run annually by the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) / BrainFacts to showcase short educational videos about neuroscience. Open to all ages and nationalities, contestants create a video of up to 4 minutes on any neuroscience topic and submit it via an SfN member sponsor (find one through the Find a Neuroscientist database).

Prizes: First Place $4,000 plus complimentary registration to SfN's Neuroscience Annual Meeting; Second Place $500; Third Place $250; People's Choice $500. Videos in all languages are accepted; non-English videos must include English subtitles. AI-assisted content is permitted with disclosure.

Open to all ages worldwide; video must be submitted by or through an SfN member sponsor (find one via Find a Neuroscientist)
