Обзор 'Where We Are': A Photo Essay Contest for Exploring Community
For the second year in a row, The New York Times Learning Network invites students aged 13 to 19 in middle or high school to participate in a photo essay contest. Participants are challenged to document an interesting local, offline community through a photo essay consisting of six to eight images with captions, a short introduction, and at least one quote from a community member. The goal is to explore and document various communities, showing who they are, why they gather, and what they gain from spending time together. The contest aims to encourage students to investigate subcultures in their area and expand their understanding of community.
