Coe College's international scholarships are merit awards of up to $16,000 an academic year, decided on your high school record and exams such as the SAT. Once awarded, the scholarship renews each year for three further years.
No extra application is involved. Coe assesses the award from the admission file, so completing the international student application, including the International Student Financial Statement and bank documentation, puts you in scope.
Coe is candid about the limits. It states that its funds are not limitless and that students should generally expect to cover at least half of their college expenses themselves. Need-based grants exist for international students and have helped many, although amounts depend on demonstrated need and Coe gives no guarantee of meeting it.
Budget for the international extras as well: a $100 orientation charge and required Lewermark health insurance at roughly $1,183 are added to your Coe bill, with books, personal expenses and break costs added to the I-20 estimate.
