About the Scholarship

Two places a year. Fordham gives this award to the two strongest theatre admits, and it carries the same package as the Presidential Scholarship: full tuition plus the average cost of a double room.

Theatre and dance applicants at Fordham apply under the early action plan, with a 1 November application deadline, so the audition and the academic file are read together in the autumn round.

You must stay a theatre major to keep it, along with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and full-time enrolment. Meals, fees, insurance and travel remain your cost.

What It Covers

Tuition
Housing

Full tuition each year for courses taken as a traditional undergraduate, plus the average cost of a double room (or the actual charge, whichever is less) for students living on campus. Meal plans and fees are not covered, and outside scholarships reduce the award by half their value.

Eligibility

Awarded to the top two theatre admits in the first-year applicant pool on the basis of academic achievement in high school, test scores if submitted, and personal characteristics. Recipients must continue as theatre majors. Renewal needs full-time status, satisfactory academic progress, a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and compliance with university policies and the Code of Conduct.

How to Apply

Apply to the Fordham Theatre programme through the regular admission process, which at Fordham means the early action plan for theatre and dance applicants. The admission and audition file serves as the scholarship application, and the award is announced with the admission decision.
