About the Scholarship

The Provost Scholarship at Santa Clara University covers half tuition for first-year students who have taken on leadership in their schools and communities.

It is indexed to tuition increases and renews for 12 consecutive academic quarters, with full-time enrolment, satisfactory academic progress and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

Consideration is automatic with your admission application, and recipients hear at the time of admission. Santa Clara's admission guidance for counsellors states that international students are eligible for merit-based awards, decided when the application is reviewed, with no further documents for the merit decision.

Half tuition at a Californian private university still leaves a large bill, so plan for the remaining tuition plus housing, meals, fees, health insurance and flights. Applicants who are not US citizens or eligible non-citizens must also file the International Student Financial Resource Form with proof that the family can cover the total cost of the first year.
