The Retention Scholarship rewards international students already at Southern Arkansas University, paying about $6,030 a year to those with a cumulative grade average of 3.5 and at least 15 completed credit hours.
At that level it is worth more than three of the university's four entry tiers, so a student who arrives on a smaller award has a clear route to a larger one.
Applications need an unofficial transcript and are due 6 January for the spring semester. The award runs to a maximum of seven semesters.
